Choose to earn and learn
Apprenticeships and Traineeships are an excellent way of gaining workplace experience and a qualification at the same time.
During a Traineeship (sometimes known as a pre-Apprenticeship) you will work towards getting your English and Maths, whilst preparing for an Apprenticeship. Although you don’t get paid a salary, you may get your travel paid for.
www.gov.uk/find-traineeship has more information.
As an Apprentice, you do earn whilst you learn (wages do vary). Search www.gov.uk/apprenticeships-guide to find out more about Apprenticeships.
If registered with Job Centre Plus, a Work Coach will let you know which benefits you are entitled to and will help you find a job (with training). www.find-your-nearest-jobcentre.dwp.gov.uk or ring 0345 604 3719
